For many years our church’s knitters have made prayer shawls to bring comfort for illness or loss. These symbolic tokens of our church’s prayers and support have been intensely meaningful to their makers, presenters, and recipients. You can learn more about this important ministry at www.shawlministy.com.
Now is the time to make more shawls, and the cabinet in the Church Library has been replenished with patterns, needles, and Homespun yarn.
Our crafters have also created baptismal blankets to be presented to babies at each baptism ceremony. Currently we have a good supply of those.
Stay tuned for information about a Community Hour gathering in coming weeks to introduce more crafters to this important ministry.
