Associate Minister

Before joining the Hills Church, Christine VanDeWege served as the bridge minister for Family Life with the First Congregational Church of Holliston, MA, where she had been serving as their Seminarian since 2020. She is a 2023 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Boston University School of Theology. She had previously earned her bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree at Northwestern University. While attending seminary, Christine served as the Interim Pastor of Youth & Families and Student Minister at Memorial Congregational Church in Sudbury, MA. Her extensive background and joy in working with youth and their families will be an asset to us; her experience in business will help us in our forthcoming strategic planning initiatives.

Christine is a native of the Chicago suburbs who began her career in healthcare administration. Christine and her husband Jeff Batt are parents to four sons.  When she is not visiting her grown sons or cheering her younger sons in their pursuits (from flying to football), her happiest places are near or on the water.  She also enjoys walking with the family’s two border collies, baking bread, and capturing photos of God’s natural world.
