Melanie Dawson

Director of Wellesley Nursery School in The Hills

Melanie Dawson joined Wellesley Nursery School in the Hills (WNSH) as the new director in September, 2020.  Melanie is a graduate of Boston College holding a BA in Early Childhood and Special Education, as well as a MA in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut. Melanie’s years of classroom teaching experience, and partnerships with parents and leadership positions, gives her the background necessary to take on her new role at WNSH.  Melanie’s philosophy of hands-on, play based learning, in conjunction with developmentally appropriate academic opportunities, correlates to the WNSH philosophy of developing a happy, inquisitive, and well-rounded child.

Melanie and her husband, Dave have lived in Medway for twenty years where they raised their four children, Andrew, Brendan, Patrick, and Emily. On weekends, Melanie enjoys traveling, watching college hockey & field hockey, walking, and cake decorating.
