Rev. Katie Omberg

Interim Associate Minister

Rev. Katie Omberg joined the team at Wellesley Hills in April. A graduate of the Boston University School of Theology and Mount Holyoke College, they have served as an interim minister at Melrose Highlands Congregational Church in Melrose and First Congregational Church in Saugus. In the secular world, they held positions as the Events Coordinator at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School, Director of Community Engagement at City Mission Boston, and the Outreach and Events Manager at the League of American Bicyclists in Washington, DC.

Katie has a passion for teaching and facilitating meaningful conversations with youth and adults, leading Bible studies, and preaching that marries ancient wisdom with today’s needs. They are a trained anti-racism facilitator with the Mission Institute, the national UCC setting, and the Southern New England Conference. When not working, they enjoy hiking in the White Mountains, baking, spending time with friends, and doing crosswords.
