Brought to you by our Racial Justice Working Group

The Black Heritage Trail is a 1.6-mile walking tour that explores the history of Boston’s
19th century African American community who primarily lived on the north slope of Beacon Hill.

When: Saturday, October 1, 2022
10:00am – Meet at the church if you would like to carpool to Boston.
11:00am – Meet us at the 54 th Regiment Memorial on Beacon Street, across from the State

Cost: The tour is free, but please consider making a donation to the National Park Service for
trail upkeep and/or tipping our tour guide. If you wish to visit the Museum of African American
History before or after our tour, you will need to reserve tickets and there is an entry fee.
Accessibility Information: This trail navigates a hill and consists of sharp inclines and small and
uneven concrete sidewalks. Occasionally there are obstructions on the sidewalk that may be
difficult to navigate around.
