Music for Children and Youth

Through participation in our children’s music programs, the youngest members of our church family build a foundation of musical skills and faith development which complements other aspects of their Christian education. The choirs also help to integrate the children into a group of peers with whom they can develop friendships and a sense of acceptance into the family of God.

We Offer

We offer children the opportunity to be part of the Children’s Choir and the Children’s Handbell Choir. Music is also a part of the Christmas Pageant and other performances such as Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde in 2014.

Children’s Choir

Our cherub choir is open to all kids who were in prekindergarten through 2nd grade; our children's choir is open to 3rd grade through 8th grade; and they both perform in church several times a year. Our goal is to develop in them a keen love and interest in choral singing. The choir focuses not only on preparing songs for worship, but also on musical skill-building, vocal technique, and teamwork. Contact: will@hillschurch.org for more information.

Children’s Handbell Choir

The Children’s Hand bell Choir is an opportunity for children in grades 2 and above to participate in the musical offerings of the church. They play in services several times a year. As members of the group, they will learn the proper techniques for ringing hand bells and hand chimes, as well as learn about rhythm and note reading through playful exercises and games.  More importantly, this is a wonderful opportunity for your child to get to know and work in a team with other children in the church. Please get in touch if your child is interested in participating, regardless of their age.
