Youth Ministry Programs:
Middle School Church School: Middle School youth are invited to attend worship on Sunday mornings. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, our middle school students in the 7th and 8th grades are dismissed with the younger students and head upstairs to the third floor youth room for their Sunday school class.
Middle School Youth Group (Grades 6, 7 and 8): Through our youth programs, we seek to create opportunities for our Middle School students to gather together in community. We strive for this community to be a place where are teens can simply “come as they are”. Our youth Group is a community that is built on trust, acceptance and love. We provide many different events through which young people can learn and grow spiritually.
Our Middle School Youth Group meetings are held weekly, on Sunday afternoons, from 4:30- 6:00 p.m. on the third floor in the Youth Room (an often end in the Assembly Room) for games, discussion and fellowship and tasty snacks!
Ninth and Tenth Grade Confirmation Class: Our Confirmation “Crew”, meets every Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:45pm. Our class is led by Rev. Anne Marie Holloway. Each class is co-taught with an adult leader from our Hills Church community. Dinner is provided each week and classes are designed to support our walking youth as they travel together on this important part of their faith journeys. See our Confirmation Tab for more information!
Sr. High Youth Group (9th-12th Grade): We provide many opportunities for our young adults to grow in their faith. These opportunities may occur on a Sunday, a service day, a weekend retreat, or a service trip. But in every instance, our hope is that our youth will continue to develop in their faith and learn to experience God in their own ways.
Our Senior High Youth Group meets on Sunday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. A typical evening includes an activity, time for conversation on a particular topic and (of course) yummy snacks! Our hope is to help our youth find ways to feel at home in a community that is supportive and loving, discover ways to use their unique god given gifts and creativity to make a difference in the world!
Our Youth Ministry programs are led by our Associate Minister of Youth and Families; Rev. Anne Marie Holloway and a dedicated group of volunteer youth leaders.
