Middle School (Grades 7 and 8)
Through our youth programs, we seek to create opportunities for our Middle School students to experience God. Children grow in their faith in different ways, such as conversation, service, play, community and worship. So we provide many different events through which young people can learn and grow spiritually.
7:8 begins in the Sanctuary during every Sunday morning worship. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, 7:8 students are dismissed with the younger students and head upstairs to the third floor youth room for their Sunday school class.
7:8 Youth Group meets most Sunday afternoons, from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the Third Floor Youth Room for games, discussion and fellowship.
7:8 students are frequently invited to participate in Service Days or other special events. We believe that community is built through working and learning together.
7:8 classes are taught by Rev. Katherine Blaisdell, Acting Associate Minister for Youth and Families.
We provide many opportunities for our young adults to grow in their faith. These opportunities may occur on a Sunday, a service day, a weekend retreat, or an international service trip. But in every instance, our hope is that our youth will continue to develop in their faith and learn to experience God in their own ways.
Our Senior Fellowship meets on Sunday nights. A typical evening includes an activity and time for conversation on a particular topic. Our hope is to help our youth find ways to use their gifts and creativity to make a difference in their community and world.
SR High classes are led by Rev. Katherine Blaisdell, Acting Associate Minister of Youth and Families and dedicated volunteers.
